A specific plan has been implemented at the Reggia di Venaria and Palazzina di Caccia of Stupinigi to monitor insects potentially damaging to the works of art, identify the various species and define the appropriate procedures and products for preventing attack and conserving the works.

The Integrated Pest Management (IPM) system, involving close collaboration between the Centro’s restorers and biologists, included the design of an insect monitoring system using strategically positioned traps of various kinds, to determine both the variety of species present and their numbers over time.
