The research activity carried out within the Centre draws on the expertise of all the operational units, which collaborate in research projects. study, investigation and experimentation on the various disciplinary fronts related to the conservation of cultural heritage.
Over the years, research projects have been launched on the conservation history and execution techniques of the works, on the history and materials of restoration, as well as on the development and application of innovative technologies and methodologies for diagnostics and conservation.
Studies and research are also developed in the context of individual diagnostic and conservation interventions, some of which are the subject of further research. deepening in university education, in particular with the support of thesis students in the context of the Master’s degree programme.
On the basis of the strategic lines of research identified by the Centre, transversal and multi-annual work plans are also launched, characterized by partnerships and collaborations with universities, research institutions and companies, both nationally and internationally.
