ACCESSIBILITY IN THE CENTRE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Restoration Conservation Centre \u2018La Venaria Reale\u2019 is committed to ensuring that all visitors, regardless of their needs or abilities, can access and enjoy its spaces open to the public, its services and its resources in a comprehensive and inclusive manner. We have implemented a number of solutions designed to promote accessibility and active participation of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n

Entrances and Accessible Routes<\/strong> The main entrance of the Centre is fully accessible to people with motor disabilities. Tactile flooring guides visitors through the spaces, while tactile maps and new signage make the visit more intuitive and safe for everyone. Two wheelchairs are available for those who need them for the visit.<\/p>\n

Library and Reading Supports<\/strong> Our library is free to use and offers various tools to facilitate access to content. External support is available via an interactive book search totem, with a dedicated library desk providing ongoing assistance. In addition, you can use the video magnifier, adjustable light lamps, and lockers for bags and suitcases equipped with high readability and braille numbers. The lift is equipped with a talking mirror in LIS for assistance also to deaf people<\/p>\n

Spaces of Relaxation and Silence<\/strong> To ensure moments of tranquility, we have created a soft and quiet space with noise-proof headphones and soft lights. In addition, an outdoor relaxation area is available, with comfortable benches for a break in the open air.<\/p>\n

Routes of Visit and Services<\/strong> All visit routes are fully accessible. The video presentation of the Center is subtitled and translated into LIS (Italian Sign Language), for a complete use. Along the paths and in the library there are bathrooms for the disabled and bathrooms suitable for children and with changing table.<\/p>\n

\u2018Il Ristoro delle Arti\u2019 (Haven of the arts)<\/strong> Our new Visitor Centre, \u2018Il Ristoro delle Arti\u2019, is a place dedicated to the history and activities of the Centre, with QR codes that refer to video and audio descriptions, tactile and braille walls, making every aspect of the visit completely accessible. \u2018Il Ristoro delle Arti\u2019 is integrated into the tour of the Reggia di Venaria and can be reached from the courtyard of the carriages.<\/p>\n

Digital Tools and Communication<\/strong> We have also revamped our website, which is fully accessible thanks to an interface designed to ensure the enjoyment of content for all people, including visitors with visual and cognitive disabilities. The new brand, the easy-to-read fonts (particularly for people with dyslexia and visually impaired people) and the updated signage complete the experience accessible to the Centre.<\/p>\n

Digital Archive and Facilitated Reading<\/strong> The Centre\u2019s digital archive is available online with easy-to-read options, ensuring easy access to documents for all people, including those with reading difficulties.<\/p>\n

The Centre has become a An even more inclusive and accessible place<\/strong>, thanks to the project\u00a0Humanities in Conservation<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 intervention made possible by the NRRP, Mission 1 \u2013 Digitalisation, innovation, competitiveness and culture, Component 3 \u2013 Culture 4.0 (M1C3), Measure 1 \u201cCultural heritage for the next generation\u201d, Investment 1.2: \u201cRemoval of physical and cognitive barriers in museums, libraries and archives to allow wider access to and participation in culture\u201d of the EU-funded NRRP \u2013 NextGenerationEU.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Library and archives\u00a0<\/strong>have been transformed into welcoming spaces without physical and cognitive barriers thanks to new structures and the most advanced technologies.<\/p>\n

The Centre's heritage is now available to a wider audience: a inclusive layout and the new layout of the library<\/strong>, tactile paths and multilingual signage, touch devices for consultation, trained staff for the reception and comfort of visitors, areas for relaxation inside and in the courtyard, new inclusive visit routes with disability support materials.<\/p>\n

Digital and educational access also changes and adapts, offering interactive content for all.<\/p>\n

Haven of the Arts<\/strong>: a new space dedicated to reception<\/strong>, which is part of the tour of the Reggia di Venaria, tells stories, facts and materials related to the conservation and restoration of works of art.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

PEBA, the Plan for the Elimination of Architectural Barriers, is a national initiative to make places of culture accessible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The document,\u00a0<\/strong>Shared among all JRC sectors, it represents a strategic plan to foster cultural experiences, social integration and the improvement of quality of life thanks to the total accessibility of spaces.
\nThe\u00a0PEBA<\/strong>\u00a0represents the first step towards the inclusiveness of a place of unconventional culture, increasingly allowing interaction between the JRC and its users.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
