The Conservation and Restoration Center keeps a copy of the documentation of the conservation interventions carried out from 2005 to today, in agreement with the owners of the restored works.<\/p>\n

It also digitised and preserves the historical archives of the restorer Pinin Brambilla Barcilon (1925-2020) and the historic Turin art gallery Martano (active from 1965 to 2013), founded by Giuliano Martano and Liliana Dematteis.<\/p>\n

In this section it is possible to explore the consistencies of the three archives, through the inventories. Within the project Humanities in Conservation \u2013 NRRP, Ministry of Culture, funded by the European Union \u2013 NextGenerationEU<\/span>, <\/em>some forms have been made available, in agreement with the bodies that own the works, \u00a0for free consultation through the drafting of an abstract for easy reading and an in-depth one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Archive of the Centre<\/strong>
\nsince 2005<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A selection of interventions is available for the Centre\u2019s restoration archive, where it is possible to view a gallery of images of conservation and scientific activities and their phases.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each intervention is preceded by a facilitated description marked with the accessibility logo, the abstract of the intervention is an informative and non-technical drafting of the activities carried out.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pinin Brambilla Barcilon Archive<\/strong>
\n1954 \u2013 2016 (with doc since 1946)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pinin Brambilla Barcilon (1925-2020), known throughout the world for the restoration of theThe Last Supper<\/em> Leonardo da Vinci and other masterpieces of Italian art, She was the first director of the Centre's restoration laboratories.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Its archive contains the documentation produced during the years of activity and kept in its Laboratory in Milan until June 2017, when, thanks to the support of Ra.Mo S.p.A, She was transferred to the Centre. A wide selection of over 50,000 phototypes, reports, scientific analyses, notes and study materials can now be consulted, excluding interventions on privately owned works.<\/span><\/p>\n

Archive Galleria Martano<\/strong>
\n1966 – 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u2018Archivio Martano\u2019 fund collects documentary and photographic material relating to the exhibitions organised by Galleria Martano, founded by Giuliano Martano and Liliana Dematteis in 1965.
\nIn 2017 the fund was acquired for the filing and partial digitization of the documentation.<\/p>\n

The archive, ordered chronologically by year, consists of 266 files relating to exhibitions organised by the Gallery between 1966 and 2013.
\nThe collection preserves photographs, slides, documents, invitations and press reviews that recount the gallery\u2019s day-to-day activities.<\/p>\n

Next to the archive is a collection of approximately 5,000 books from the 1930-2013 chronological period, donated by Liliana Dematteis to the Centre\u2019s Library in 2013 after the closure of the Gallery.<\/p>\n
