The intervention ensured the recovery of the uniformity of the surface of the canvas characterized by the lozenges (or diamond) armour used by the painter to give particular materiality to the work.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Saint George<\/strong> showed signs of alterations due to previous restorations that had changed the colour and appearance of the painting. The removal of old repaintings has allowed the recovery of iconographic details not yet visible, such as the left ear of the horse.
