For the new set-up of the oriental collection of the\u00a0Civic Museum P. A. Garda of Ivrea<\/a> “Kach\u014d Flowers and birds in oriental art\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, was entrusted to the Laboratory of Textile Manufactures of the JRC La Venaria Reale a nucleus of 6 extraordinary fabrics of Japanese origin<\/strong>. The whole is characterised by a particular richness both in terms of types and of materials and executive techniques attributable to the Edo period.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t

The restoration involved cleaning, textile consolidation, structural stabilization of degrades such as lacerations and gaps, through inserts of\u00a0crepeline<\/em>\u00a0specially dyed silk, favoring the characteristics of the original fabrics.<\/p>\n

All the interventions were supported by a diagnostic plan by the JRC Scientific Laboratories, aimed at deepening knowledge of the materials in place and the main degradation phenomena.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t
