SATURDAY 14 december 2019

How did they make wooden sarcophagi in Ancient Egypt? What analyses help us to understand the history of these extraordinary, ancient artefacts that have survived to the present day? How do you restore a mummy? This course on the works of art from the Museo Egizio di Torino being restored at the Centro's Laboratories will look in more depth at the issues and problems relating to the study and conservation of particularly complex finds such as human mummies, sarcophagi and polychrome wooden sculptures, presenting the tools and technologies that we use in order to be able to reconstruct their history.

The guided tour will take place in the wooden sculpture and in the scientific laboratories
