I Sacri Monti: common heritage of values, laboratory for sustainable conservation and better tourist usability of cultural heritage

The conference on Friday 8 November which will take place in the Salone d'Arengo marks the start of the Italy Switzerland Interreg VA international cooperation project "MAIN10ANCE".

The project enhances the traditional construction knowledge and the use of local materials and craftsmen, analyzing the monumental complexes of the Sacri Monti, intends to propose a working method for the conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage that is economically sustainable, repeatable, capable of making institutions, communities, professionals responsible and can contribute to revitalizing the cross-border territory.

The  Centro in particular will operate on the Varallo site through the activation of an experimental yard where advanced diagnostics, innovative technical solutions and tradition will be combined in good maintenance practices.
