Brief description of the intervention

In 2020, this conservation phase was also completed thanks to national and international collaborations that made it possible to deepen the study of the executive technique and the analysis of the materials relating to previous restoration interventions.

The work is painted on a rectangular wooden support (320x225x3 cm) consisting of five axes of poplar. The quality of materials and construction techniques has certainly favored the preservation of the structure over time. The choice of a clear and luminous preparation by the painter is functional to his pictorial technique that exploits the light of the preparation and the chiaroscuro of the underlying drawing to set the volumes of the figures.
