The heritage unveiled. Behind the scenes of care and restoration

From 5 May to 17 November takes place, between the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi and the Church of Sant’Antonio di Ranverso, on cycle of meetings organised by the Mauritian Order Foundation in collaboration with the ‘La Venaria Reale’ Restoration Conservation Centre.

Thanks to the participation of experts, art historians, restorers and conservation scientists, each event is an opportunity to deepen the complex process that allows collections to remain accessible and in perfect condition.

The six meetings are scheduled on Mondays, during the closing day, to allow an exclusive visit to the places and environments covered by the study and to learn about the technical, material and all the curiosities about the activities of safeguarding the historical and artistic heritage.

Climate change and the preservation of cultural heritage

• Chimney Room of the Hunting Palace of Stupinigi

A journey to discover the silent and constant activities that are part of the conservation programs of the Hunting Palace of Stupinigi.
From combating the effects of climate change that have repercussions on furnishings and environments, to knowledge of practices such as monitoring the presence of ladybugs colonies, air quality and dust that provide interesting data on the environment, pollution and the need to implement protection actions on cultural heritage.

Afterwards, visit the Palazzina to discover the planned conservation and Integrated Pest Management, in the company of the Centre’s restorers.
