HERITALISE (Heritage Buildings and Objects Digitisation & Visualisation within the Cloud) is a 4-year project funded under the European research and innovation program Horizon Europe (the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation), call HORIZON-CL2-2023-HERITAGE-ECCCH-01-02 - A European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage - Innovative tools for digitizing CH objects. The project is dedicated to revolutionizing the digitization and visualization of cultural heritage by leveraging advanced technologies and cloud-based solutions.With these objectives, HERITALISE aims to make significant progress in the field of cultural heritage digitization, ensuring that cultural assets are preserved, studied, and appreciated by future generations. The HERITALISE ecosystem will be integrated with the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH), providing a scalable web-based platform for European cultural heritage institutions to share, access, and develop digital resources for preservation and research.

Within the project, CCR will be responsible for microclimatic monitoring, the case study analysis of the Chapel of Sant’Uberto (focusing on the internal stuccoes), and the sculptures of Penone at the Gardens of the Reggia di Venaria Reale. Additional contributions will be made in the fields of multispectral imaging and computed tomography.

Science

The Scientific Laboratories carry out diagnostic and research activities applied to Cultural Heritage with advanced technological tools, including an innovative radio-tomographic machine for digital radiographs and CT scans of large objects.

Training

The School of Higher Education and Study (SAF) organizes and manages training and professional development courses and, thanks to the agreement with the University of Turin, participates in the organization of the Degree Course.

Documentation

The Center develops and conducts activities of documentation and enhancement of archival and bibliographic funds of particular importance for the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage.
