The murals of Tiepolo and the banner of Procaccini: restoration to rediscover lost stories and hidden treasures

Visit to the Laboratory of Restoration of Mural Paintings and to the Laboratory of Restoration of Paintings on Canvas.

Ongoing work on fragments of Tiepolo’s wall paintings and a banner by Giulio Cesare Procaccini will provide insight into the stories and transformations that have led to the loss of the integrity of these works. The study and care undertaken for their knowledge and conservation will bring out values and meanings of the stories that the works preserve.

The tour will be led by Michela Cardinali, director of the Centre's restoration laboratories, and the restorer Sara Aveni.
