Mission
The Fondazione Centro per la Conservazione e il Restauro dei Beni Culturali ‘La Venaria Reale’ was set up as an institute for higher education, study, documentation and experimental research in the field of conservation and restoration of cultural heritage.
Objectives
- inspire its initiatives to a conception of the cultural good and its conservation based on the principles illustrated in the Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape;
- promote the culture of restoration through university education, specialization courses, research activities, dissemination activities, educational activities, restoration activities;
- promote a digital transformation process by adapting the Foundation’s organisational and management tools, developing digital teaching and educational activities and updating internal skills across the board;
- cooperate in the development of the Degree Course in Conservation and Restoration, managed in agreement with the University of Turin, through the participation of Restoration Laboratories, Scientific Laboratories and all staff;
- promote a high-quality learning and training environment in which learning, research and fieldwork are at the heart of all activities;
- promote the national and international projection of the Piedmontese territory in the field of Cultural Heritage, through the construction of partnerships with other institutions and research projects at Italian and European level;
- promote the development of scientific and professional skills in the various communities of practice operating in the field of cultural heritage conservation, through national and international higher education and continuing education initiatives, with particular regard to the younger generations;
- identify and implement development and sustainability strategies through medium- and long-term planning;
- operate in full respect of the human factor, the workplace, safety and all mandatory requirements, promoting a work environment in which to reward professionalism and merit;
- ensure the quality of its business through control, transparency and continuous improvement of all processes, with particular attention to their interfunctionality;
- pursue the full satisfaction of all stakeholders.
