Brief description of the interventions

The restoration work, aimed at preserving the historical characteristics of the original works and constituent materials, provided for the careful removal of surface deposits by surgical micro-aspirator followed by humidification and ultrasonic vaporising operations in order to proceed with the subsequent flattening operations using magnets to restore the documents to their due flatness and legibility.

Finally, the intervention provided for compensation for tears and gaps, chromatic integration and the study of the most suitable packaging method to ensure their usability and long-term preservation.
