The IphotoCult project is funded under the European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation (Horizon Europe), call Horizon-CL-2-2023-HERITAGE-01-01, which promotes the development of advanced technologies for remote monitoring of heritage monuments and artefacts.

The project carried out by the JRC, coordinated by the prestigious Hellas Research and Technology Foundation (FORTH) of Heraklion (Crete, Greece) together with 12 other partners belonging to Universities, Conservation Centres and Museums, Research and Innovation Institutes, Industries belonging to 6 European countries (in Italy in collaboration with the CNR-IFAC of Florence and the Consorzio delle Residenze Reali Sabaude – Reggia di Venaria), aims at the design, development and validation of innovative solutions, environmentally sustainable, for the protection of cultural heritage.

Specifically, the CCR, during the three and a half years of the project's implementation, will validate scientific diagnostic tools and methodologies developed by the technological partners developing photonic analytical techniques, will test protocols for the conservation monitoring of the movable and immovable, indoor and outdoor heritage of the Reggia di Venaria and will contribute to the development of a user-friendly Cloud-based Software Service Platform iSSP platform for data processing, management and visualisation, AI supported.
