Abstract of the intervention:
Restoration
The restoration of the work began with mechanical and chemical cleaning to eliminate dirt deposits. This was followed by chemical cleaning of the lampholders with baths in aqueous chelating solution and rinsing with demineralised water. In addition, general dehydration was carried out with baths in ethyl alcohol, drying under an IR lamp and with a heat-convector and a protective layer of acrylic resin was applied. The pieces were then reassembled and the pictorial integrations of the incomplete parts on the leaves with acrylic color were carried out. Finally, the paint was removed from the candles and the pictorial integration with water-based acrylic paint was carried out.
