Facilitated description:

King Solomon worships idols is a painting on canvas.
Sebastiano Ricci painted the painting in 1724.
The painting depicts King Salomen in the center, kneeling before the statue of an idol (god).
The painting is kept at the Galleria Sabauda in Turin.
The La Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Centre restored the painting in 2008.
The restorers cleaned the painting of dust.
They arranged the paintings of the previous restoration with paint colors.
Eventually they painted the painting to protect it from the sun's rays and dust.

Abstract of the intervention:

Restoration

The restoration of the canvas began with a superficial suction of the support and the front of the work. Subsequently, a revision was carried out with paint colors of the altered pictorial additions, dating back to previous restorations. Finally, a surface painting was sprayed.
