Facilitated description
The restorer Pinin Brambilla Barcilon restored the wall paintings of the Baronial Hall of the Castello della Manta in 1989-1991 under the direction of Elena Ragusa and Giovanni Romano.
The frescoes were in good condition thanks to the materials used.
During the analysis, the restorer found traces of previous restorations.
Some of these restorations worsened the vision of the fresco.
Restorer Pinin Brambilla removed the dust.
It consolidated (make the surfaces more stable) the parts of the painting that had detached from the wall.
He cleaned the frescoes and retouched the colors with watercolors.
