Restoration report (08/1993-10/1993) and photographic documentation relating to the paintings Love and Psyche e The Forge of Vulcan by Andrea Appiani.

Facilitated description

The works "Amore e Psiche" and "La fucina di Vulcano" by Andrea Appiani are paintings on canvas from 1700-1800 preserved in the Civic Museums of Monza.
Restorer Pinin Brambilla Barcilon restored the two paintings in 1993.
The restorer removed the colored paint that covered the paintings to see the drawings better.
On the paintings there were gaps (missing parts).
The restorer filled the gaps with the hatch technique (thin and small lines of color that from a distance recompose the shape of the missing part).
