Facilitated description

The restorer worked on the work "Madonna with Child Enthroned and Donors" by Bernardino Zenale, preserved at the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan.

The work consists of three paintings on board that together form the so-called "Triptych".

Pinin Brambilla Barcilon restored the work in the years 1996-1997.

Before the restoration, the restorer studied the previous restorations and the state of conservation of the work.

The work needed to be consolidated (an operation that makes the support and the painted surface more stable).

The restoration took care of the cleaning of the yellowed paints and the pictorial film that had repainted parts on the occasion of previous restorations.

The file keeps a report of the restoration operations and graphic documentation that represents the state of conservation and the operations carried out.
