Facilitated description
The work "Salvator Mundi" of Tuscan scope is a painting on panel of about 1500-1600 preserved at the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan.
The restorer Pinin Brambilla Barcilon restored the painting in 2001-2002 under the direction of Alessandro Rovetta.
The restorer worked on cleaning the paints that had been added in previous restorations and that were yellowed and dirty.
The restorer consolidated (make the surfaces more stable) the original pictorial film that had large damaged parts.
