Restoration report, graphic and photographic documentation relating to the intervention carried out on the wooden ceiling with heraldic decorations present inside the baronial room.

Works supervision: Elena Ragusa.

Facilitated description

The restorer Pinin Brambilla Barcilon restored the wooden ceiling of the Baronial Hall of the Castello della Manta in 1989-1991 under the direction of Elena Ragusa.
The ceiling had cracks, sagging, holes, stains and lifts of the pictorial film.
The restorer cleaned the ceiling, removed stains and applied a substance against xylophagous insects (insects that feed on wood and damage the work).
He retouched the paint to avoid color differences, focusing on white backgrounds.
