Facilitated description
The work ‘Ritratto di musiciano’ (Portrait of a Musician) is a painting on a panel by Leonardo da Vinci, circa 1480-1485, kept at the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan.
Restorer Pinin Brambilla Barcilon restored the work in 2013.
The restoration was carried out on the occasion of an exhibition organized at the Metropolitan Art Museum in Tokyo.
The intervention project planned to secure the pictorial film in some places where it had risen and could risk falling during transport.
The restorer applied a glue and made the pictorial film adhere to the wooden support.
