The ampoule is an antique glass container.
The ampoule was made during the 400-500.
The ampoule is kept at the Civic Museum of Ancient Art in Turin (Palazzo Madama).
The La Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Centre restored the ampoule in 2009. Some restoration students participated in the project.
The restorers cleaned the ampoule of dirt with chemicals. 

 

 

 

 

Abstract of the intervention: 

 

Restoration

The restoration of the ampoule was carried out as part of an ordinary teaching project by the teacher Marco Demmelbauer. 
The intervention consisted in removing the earthy deposits with pads soaked in water.
