Facilitated description:

The bottle is an antique glass object.
The bottle was made during the 400-500.
The bottle is kept at the Museo Civico d'Arte Antica in Turin (Palazzo Madama).
The La Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Centre restored the bottle in 2009. Some restoration students participated in the project.
The restorers cleaned the bottle of dirt with chemicals.
They glued the broken parts with glue.
Eventually, they discovered that some of the broken parts do not belong to this bottle.

Abstract of the intervention:

Restoration

The restoration was carried out as part of an ordinary teaching project by the teacher Marco Demmelbauer.
The glass surfaces were cleaned of greasy dirt deposits with pads soaked in organic solvent. Subsequently the fragments were glued with epoxy resin, after application of a layer of acrylic resin intervention.
Following the restoration, it was found that the object, marked by a single inventory number, is made up of fragments that are not mutually relevant.
