Facilitated description: 

 

The votive lamp is a metal lamp used in churches. 
The lamp was made in 1837. 
The lamp is kept in the cathedral of Fossano.
The La Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Centre restored the lamp in 2019. 
In the restoration project the restorers have included these operations: 
- clean the lamp from dust and dirt;
- put protective product to protect the lamp from contact with air:

Restoration

In the restoration project on the votive lamp, the following operations were planned: 
- preliminary cleaning by vacuum cleaner and brushes in order to remove deposits of inconsistent particles; 
- possible removal of altered protective devices, taking care to preserve the historical appearance of the product; 
- final protective coating to protect the work from contact with the environment.
