Facilitated description:

The golden wall clock was made in 1740-1750.
The clock is kept at the Reggia di Venaria.
The La Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Centre restored the watch in 2015.
The restorers cleaned the watch of dust, reinforced the damaged parts and arranged the decoration.
Scientists at the Center have done scientific analysis to see if other restorations have been done in the past.

Abstract of the intervention:

Maintenance

The clock coming from the deposits of Palazzo Madama has been the subject of an extraordinary maintenance intervention on the occasion of the setting up of the visit path of the Reggia di Venaria (granted on loan). The intervention provided for the cleaning of the surface from the deposits, the ultraviolet analysis of the artifact, consolidation operations and a revision of the finish.
