The wall paintings are paintings made on the wall. 
The paintings are kept at the Castle of Masino in Caravino, on the ceiling of the Gallery of Poets. 
The Castle of Masino is an asset of the Italian Environment Fund. 
The La Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Centre took photographs and scientific analyses of the paintings in 2020. 
The photographs and analyses were used to study the paintings and to see the drawing under the painting layer.

 

 

Abstract of the intervention: 

 

Scientific Analysis

The Conservation and Restoration Center "La Venaria Reale" has conducted a project to study and deepen the decorative wall of the Gallery of poets of the Castle of Masino through a diagnostic imaging campaign. During the intervention, photographic documentation was collected in diffused light, visible grazing light and infrared reflectography to highlight the painted parts below the current surface.
