57-CR-2011_Varese, Villa Panza, Carpet maintenance (Aubusson and Ushak)

Facilitated description: 

 

The two carpets are kept at Villa Panza in Varese. 
Villa Panza is an asset of the Italian Environment Fund. 
The La Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Centre carried out a maintenance (small interventions) on the carpets in 2011. 
The restorers cleaned the carpets of dust. 
They've eliminated the old restorations. 
They have replaced the tulle (transparent fabric) that serves to protect the carpets.

Maintenance

The Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Centre has carried out routine maintenance on two carpets (an Aubusson and a Ushak) at Villa Panza in Varese. For the Aubusson carpet, the intervention provided for the cleaning, the removal of previous interventions and the replacement of the protective tulle.
