Abstract of the intervention:
Restoration
The pair of chairs in walnut wood of Castello della Manta has been restored as part of a project that involved interventions on different textile furnishings and furniture. The operations began with the disinfestation in anoxic chamber for a period of three weeks and the application of anti-moth product with a brush. The restoration has aimed at the structural recovery and recovery of the disjointed parts. In order to restore the original structural function of the furnishings, the lining in the textile upholstery was removed and they were glued and fixed with cantonal screws. The surface has been chemically cleaned and protected with microcrystalline wax.
