The console is a type of golden wooden table with a shelf made of precious stones.
The shelf of the console has a floral decoration on a black background.
The consul was built between 1690 and 1710 and is kept at the Reggia di Venaria.
The Centro Restauro La Venaria Reale restored the console in 2013.
On the console was made only a small intervention to glue the parts of detached gilding.
Abstract of the intervention:
The extraordinary maintenance of the console with marble shelf was carried out on the occasion of the preparation of the work at the Reggia di Venaria. In fact, the console that was located at the Hunting Palace of Stupinigi, was intended for the permanent visit of the Reggia di Venaria.
Maintenance
The intervention included the consolidation of the gilding and chromium lifts with resin injections.
