Landscape with scenes of gallant life is a tapestry (a large canvas work that hangs to decorate the walls). 
The tapestry represents a slice of life in the countryside. 
The tapestry is kept at Villa della Porta Bozzolo in Casalzuigo.
Villa Della Porta Bozzolo is an asset of the Italian Environment Fund. 
The La Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Centre carried out a maintenance (small interventions) on the tapestry in 2017.
In the project the restorers have planned to restore the tapestry as described below.
The restorers have removed the lining (reinforcement canvas behind the tapestry). 
They cleaned the tapestry of dust. 
They eliminated the restorations of the past because they were not suitable.
They put pieces of canvas behind the tapestry to sew the ruined parts.
In the end they put a new lining and put up an adhesive band to hang the tapestry.

Maintenance

The maintenance work on the tapestry of Villa Della Porta Bozzolo was carried out in view of the exhibition of the work in the villa.
The following operations have been envisaged in the intervention project:
- removal of lining
- cleaning from deposits for macro and micro-suction
- dry cleaning with tires 
- removal of unsuitable past restoration work
- sewing of deadlifts with stitches
- conservative restoration of degraded areas by applying fabric on the back
- application of new lining and Velcro band for display.
