In the context of Strategic Plan 2019-2022 the ‘La Venaria Reale’ Conservation and Restoration Centre, drawn up with the support of the Compagnia di San Paolo in line with the multi-annual programmes of the founding bodies and in line with the more detailed action programme provided for inAgenda 2030 for sustainable development, the
“Young Professionals Forum. Emerging skills for heritage conservation”
It is the first important initiative of international scope This is aimed at increasing skills, comparing professionals in the cultural heritage sector and opening up to wider and more diverse audiences.
Converted into a fully digital event following the COVID-19 health emergency, the Forum has, from the outset, registered its membership as a partner of some of the most important national and international bodies.
One will be proposed this year. new formula, an annual route of events and integrated activities to improve participants’ professional skills and expand their international networks.
TO WHOM IT IS ADDRESSED
The Young Professionals Forum 2022 is addressed to anyone who wants to get involved and value the approach to transversal professions, to anyone who wants to confront each other and never stop improving and questioning themselves. It is an opportunity to involve a wide range of young people from different backgrounds on shared themes, allowing everyone to bring their own disciplinary peculiarities into play on cross-cutting issues related to heritage conservation.
The Forum is open to all students who are about to graduate or have recently graduated, PhD students, researchers and professionals in the field of Cultural Heritage, e.g. conservators, restorers, art historians, architects, conservation scientists, conservators, museologists, archaeologists, etc.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF PROFESSIONS OF CULTURAL HERITAGE. A PERSPECTIVE FROM THE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS FORUM

On 1 February the presentation of the second edition of the Young Professionals Forum and the launch of the new edition as part of theDubai Expo 2020: a debate on the interaction between culture, training and education and on issues related to the preservation of cultural heritage and professions.
The debate stems from the results of the Young Professionals Forum 2021, an open and international platform where young cultural heritage professionals exchange ideas, discuss, improve skills and build a shared vision, getting involved in the process of change and advocacy.
During the presentation, different international experiences were compared, from Italy to the United Arab Emirates, to identify common reasons for exchange and growth.
