The Holy Sepulchre: new studies and restorations

In October last year, the Centre signed an agreement in Jerusalem with the Custody of the Holy Land, in collaboration with the Department of Antiquity Sciences of La Sapienza University in Rome, to start the second phase of restoration of the foundations of the Aedicule and the floor of the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre.

This afternoon Stefano Trucco (President of the JRC), Michela Cardinali (Director of the JRC Restoration Laboratories) and Paola Croveri (Project Coordinator) will explore the restoration project of the flooring of the Holy Sepulchre during the programme of meetings (also in streaming) ‘Days of Archaeology’.
