FINAL EVENT 30 JUNE 2023
HOW LEADERSHIP, STRATEGY AND NETWORKING OPERATE ON PREVENTIVE CONSERVATION is the leitmotif on which the new edition of the Young Professionals Forum will focus, the international comparison platform built by the La Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Center together with the most prestigious international organizations for the conservation of cultural heritage.
Leadership, strategy and networking will be developed this year on the theme of conservation preventive: from risk management to context analysis, from awareness-raising to documentation and communication activities.
Measures taken to preserve in advance In fact, they arise from numerous areas (management, restoration, scientific, economic, social, etc.) that require a multidisciplinary approach and it is precisely to this complexity that the Forum tends, to create a common ground for debate that increases the skills of all.
TO WHOM IT IS ADDRESSED
The Forum is aimed at students and young cultural heritage professionals and related disciplines with the aim of enhancing participants’ digital management, leadership and networking skills.

Final event
30 June 2023
At the FINAL and FREE event on 30 June 2023, the working groups were invited to SHARE their experience and gather ideas for the publication of a report on their activities. The final event was held in hybrid, online and face-to-face format. A moment of sharing with the international community that saw the participants protagonists of an event of exchange and personal and professional growth.

MEET
Individual meeting with experts
During YPF 2023, individual meetings were organised between experts and participants who wished to seek advice or ask questions related to their career.
An effective way to expand its national and international network by engaging with professionals from the most important national and international organizations in the field of cultural heritage conservation.

Interactive workshops
May – June 2023
The interactive workshops were an opportunity to take action on case studies and reflect on topical issues. Leadership, strategy and networking focused on the topic of preventive conservation: from risk management to contextual analysis, from awareness-raising to documentation and communication activities.
The 6 interactive workshops were proposed by the partners of the Young Professionals Forum between May and June with activities on cross-cutting topics:
- Cultural Heritage in Syria: protection, conservation and recovery, online: 09 May (13:30-14:30 CEST) and 10 May (13:30-14:30 CEST) – Fondazione Santagata per l’Economia della Cultura and JRC
- Prevention and sustainability as a critical tool for climate change issues in world heritage management, online: 18 May (13:30-14:30 CEST) and 19 May (13:30-15:00 CEST) – ICOMOS and JRC
- Climate Zones: Environmental Guidelines for Artistic and Historic Works, online: 23 May (13:30-15:00 CEST) – IIC and JRC
- Preventive Conservation and the Development of Professional Skills in a Changing World, online: 06 June (13:30-15:00 CEST) – ICOM Italia and JRC
- Using Impact Assessments to better manage World Heritage, online: 08 June (1:30-15:00 pm CEST) – ICCROM and JRC
- Preservation protocol for collections in Historical Residences, in person, full time in Venaria, Piedmont, Italy: 28, 29 and 30 June – JRC
