The JRC participates in Archivissima 2025 with the Masterclass Corridors in time. Update – Forming with archives. Restoring the memory of artistic and cultural heritage.

Update is the project dedicated to the in-depth analysis of the archives curated by Archivissima. For the 2025 edition, three archives will discuss memory and enhancement, united by a special thread, that of conservation and restoration linked to artistic and cultural heritage.
Works of art are the physical testimony of the deposition of ideas, businesses, projects, artistic creation of men and women throughout history. Fixed in memory and subject to the gaze, they live of their own materiality but at the same time they are animated by a value that exceeds the partitions with which we mark life and eras. Very current in their past being, contemporary in their life of memory, pioneer in containing meanings yet to be expressed.

What do the objects to which we entrust the sense of time tell us?
How do you preserve the memory of a cultural asset?
How do you restore and preserve an intangible heritage?

The JRC together with the National Museum of the Risorgimento in Turin and the House of Music of the Municipality of Parma tries to answer these and other questions.
A deep look, to trace a thread from the past through today, towards the possible futures.
