The Centre is becoming a An even more inclusive and accessible place, thanks to the project Humanities in Conservation – intervention made possible by the NRRP, Mission 1 – Digitalisation, innovation, competitiveness and culture, Component 3 – Culture 4.0 (M1C3), Measure 1 “Cultural heritage for the next generation”, Investment 1.2: “Removal of physical and cognitive barriers in museums, libraries and archives to allow wider access to and participation in culture” of the EU-funded NRRP – NextGenerationEU.
The Library and archives They are transforming themselves into welcoming spaces without physical and cognitive barriers thanks to new structures and the most advanced technologies.
The JRC's heritage is becoming available to a wider public: a inclusive layout and the new layout of the library, tactile paths and multilingual signage, touch devices for consultation, trained staff for the reception and comfort of visitors, areas for relaxation inside and in the courtyard, new inclusive visit routes with disability support materials.
Digital and educational access also changes and adapts, offering interactive content for all.
One new space dedicated to reception, which is part of the tour of the Reggia di Venaria, will tell stories, facts and materials related to the conservation and restoration of works of art.
