Facilitated description:

The three cartaglorie are texts written on paper in gilded frames made in 1700. The texts are those of the Christian rite.
Paper-glories are used by the priest to remember the formulas to be said during the service.
The papier-glories are kept in Stupinigi's hunting lodge.
The La Venaria Reale Conservation and Restoration Centre restored the three carteglories in 2013.
The restorers inserted the paper-glories into an anoxic chamber, an oxygen-free chamber that serves to eliminate wood-eating insects.
They cleaned the paperglories of dust and wax.
In the end they spread on the frames a product against insects that eat wood and painted the frames to protect them from the sun and dust.

Abstract of the intervention:

Restoration

The works were disinfected in anoxic chamber for a period of three weeks. On the entire golden surface the removal of inconsistent deposits was carried out through a chemical cleaning with ethanol and triammonium citrate in demineralized water for the most consistent sediments. The cleaning of the paper surface and the color was performed with rubbers of various softness. The waxy deposits were mechanically removed with scalpels. Finally, preventive disinfestation was carried out by brushing the anti-moth solution and final painting.
