As part of the Strategic Plan 2019-2022 of the CCR - Centre for Conservation and Restoration “La Venaria Reale”, drawn up with the support of the Compagnia di San Paolo in line with the multiannual programmes of the Founders and in line with the more detailed programme of action provided in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),

the "Young Professionals Forum. Emerging skills for cultural heritage

is the first major international event aimed at increasing skills, comparing professionals in the Cultural Heritage field and opening up to wider and more diversified audiences. Converted into a completely digital and free event, due to the health emergency Covid-19, the Forum has since the beginning registered the membership as a partner of some of the most important international institutes (ICOM, IIC, CNR, ICCROM) and the University of Turin.

The event will take place on July 2nd 2020, in a new digital and free format, to allow everyone to participate to this first and unrepeatable edition.

The aim remains to create a space for sharing, open to comparison and innovation through the circulation of ideas and good practices, with the hope of strengthening the connection between institutes and people who are engaged in different ways in the conservation of cultural heritage.

The event will be held in 4 sessions each one dedicated to a crucial theme for the conservation and transmission of cultural heritage. Institutions and Research Institutes of international relevance (IIC, CNR, ICOM and University of Turin) are involved in the role of moderators, Scientific committee and jury.

The four sessions’ themes will be:
1. Conservation ethics and practice
2. Diagnostics and technologies applied to conservation
3. Museum professions
4. History of conservation
