The ‘La Venaria Reale’ Conservation and Restoration Centre is a Foundation forhigher education and research in the field of cultural heritage conservation.

The ‘La Venaria Reale’ Conservation and Restoration Centre is a non-profit foundation established in 2005 as a higher education and research institute for the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage and is the seat of the Master’s Degree Course in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the University of Turin.

Depending on the statutory objectives of training and research, the Centre has been divided into several operational units: the School of Higher Education and Study, i Laboratories for Conservation and Restoration, i Scientific Laboratories, the Areas Research e Development, the Library and the Archives. All units operate in an integrated manner under the guidance of the management and steering bodies in highly complex projects at the service of bodies and institutions, in strict coherence with the training guidelines.

The Centre is based on a methodology that integrates the skills of restorers, art historians and scientific professionals. Their presence within a single structure is a key element for the Centre: The restoration process is always the result of a multidisciplinary and shared contribution, in the name of up-to-dateness, research and innovation.
