In collaboration with the Reggia di Venaria Reale
A well-planned and fun kind of research for younger children, getting them involved in training in the Laboratories of the Centro Conservazione e Restauro "La Venaria Reale" so that they can learn to recognise why and in what way works of art degrade and learn about the techniques and tools used to prevent this. The activities continue in the Reggia di Venaria where the children - little cultural heritage conservators for the day - can experience what they have learned firsthand. And the course will end with a game in the Galleria Grande.
A visit to the Laboratories of the Centro Conservazione e Restauro "La Venaria Reale" and the Reggia di Venaria that will give students the chance to have unique experiences and meet with the various professional figures directly involved in preventive conservation activities. It will give students a hands-on experience of the analysis and study of both the conservation setting and the risks works of art may be exposed to, showing them how an interdisciplinary approach and teamwork are the essential foundations of prevention work.
