Work has begun on the New Scientific Pole of the Centre, dedicated to scientific research and diagnostics applied to the conservation of cultural heritage.
The project is a further strategic step in the development path of the Centre. The new hub is located in the former Galoppatoio La Marmora: a historic building in the Piedmont Region, which, thanks to a major redevelopment, has been transformed from a decommissioned space into an international research infrastructure. A project that strengthens the link between the Centre, the city of Venaria Reale and the territory.
Science, Restoration and Innovation to transmit works of art to future generations.
Here will be born the headquarters of the new pole which will make visible the constant scientific progress the Center in the panorama international.
An infrastructure for conservation science
The project is spread over about 600 square meters intended for new generation laboratories for interdisciplinary research and areas for training.
The Hub is conceived as an ecosystem open to collaboration and designed to welcome researchers, students, professionals and institutional partners with a view to shared innovation.
Spaces, skills and instrumentation
The new environments are designed to enhance diagnostic and operational activity through:
- Technologies advanced: instruments for spectroscopic, chromatographic, mapping and imaging analysis;
- Mobility: integration of mobile tools for diagnostic campaigns in situ;
- Chuman apital: strengthening human capital and in-house scientific expertise;
- Networking: synergy between restorers, researchers, international institutions;
- Development: support for innovative projects and companies in the cultural heritage sector.
Research, territory, future
This goal consolidates the role of the Centre as a reference point for research applied to the conservation of cultural heritage.
A project that combines urban regeneration, scientific development and enhancement of the territory, contributing to the growth of an open, interdisciplinary and future-oriented cultural and research ecosystem.
Supporting this project means andinvest in infrastructure destined to become assets of all, valuing the work of those who take care of the history and promotes the territory as a place of sustainable development
